Steyn will start at inside centre, while Rosko Specman will play on the wing.

Both players were recently a part of the Springbok alignment camp and will need some game time if they are to make Boks squad for the British & Irish Lions series.

The Toyota Cheetahs coach, Hawies Fourie, told OFM Sport that he expects it to be Steyn’s last game for the team for quite some time.

“I am pretty sure that he will be involved with the Springboks.

“This might be his last game for us until November or December.

“He will play at inside for us on the weekend, except if we have a lot of injuries.

“He can play in any position for us in the backline, expect at scrumhalf, but this weekend this idea is to just use him at twelve.”

Brandon Thomson is the only true flyhalf selected for the game, due to Reinhardt Fortuin carrying a niggle. Should Thomson not play or get injured, the captain Ruan Pienaar will move over as the backline marshal.

Saturday afternoon’s game at the Toyota Stadium kicks off at 16:00.
