Badenhorst has previously plied his trade at the Cheetahs from 2017 until he joined the Pumas after finding himself without a contract in Bloemfontein.

The son of the legendary Free State winger, Chris Badenhorst, will play for the Cheetahs tomorrow when they tackle the EP Elephants.

Badenhorst told OFM Sport that he is excited to be back home.

“I am back at the Free State until the end of the Currie Cup. It's really nice and I am glad to be back. “It's always been a dream of mine to be here.

“I'm privileged to be back off the bench this weekend and I am really looking forward to the match.

“I'm excited to wear the Free State jersey again and to see what the future has in store for me.”

Saturday’s game at the Toyota Stadium kicks off at 12:00.
