Last week the Cheetahs coach, Hawies Fourie, indicated that they are lining up teams to face them in warm-up matches ahead of an eagerly anticipated return to Europe.

While nothing has been confirmed yet, Fourie, named the two teams they will tackle first up.

“There were promises made to us that we will play in the European Challenge Cup.

The provisional fixtures that are out suggest that we will play against the Toulon and the Dragons, with the first matches being on 11 and 18 December.

“That is where our focus is going to be. We are going to give the players off for the next three weeks and then we will begin a conditioning block.

“Then we will prepare for friendlies that will be played from middle to the end of December.”

OFM Sport does have this confirmed by another source as well.

The Dragons are also the same team the Cheetahs lost 13-10 to in their last-ever Guinness PRO14 game.
