The new recruits will bolster the Cheetahs depth on the wing, as well as at flank and loosehead prop.

The Griquas winger, Daniel Kasende, link up with the squad as they will begin with their preparations to possibly play in the European Challenge Cup in December.

Fourie told OFM Sport that he forms part of their plans to play in Europe.

“He is joining us from 1 November and he will definitely be in our plans.

“I am not sure how long he will still be out with an injury. I will leave the Griquas until they are done with the Currie Cup and then I will make sure about that one.

“There will be two other players that will be joining in November as well, so there will be a few guys to strengthen the squad going forward.”

The other additions to the Cheetahs will be the rock-solid flanker, Gideon van der Merwe, and the loosehead, Mox Mxoli.

The Griquas travel to Durban this week to face the Sharks in the semi-finals of the Currie Cup.

While nothing has been official confirmed the Cheetahs are set to play in the European Challenge Cup later in the year.
