The Lions have been dealt further injury blows ahead of their final match of their four-game tour in the United Rugby Championship.
The lock and loan player from the Pumas, Pieter Jansen van Vuren injured his MCL against the Glasgow Warriors.
This has further been confirmed that the two flyhalves, Jordan Hendrikse and Eddie Fouché, have both returned home with injuries.
The former Cheetahs pivot, Fred Zeilinga, has joined the tour as cover at flyhalf.
The Lions coach, Cash van Rooyen, wished his injured players a speedy recovery, while also welcoming Zeilinga on tour.
“It's always unfortunate losing players to injury, but those are the realities of rugby.
“We welcome Fred to the group and wish Pieter, Jordan, and Eddie a speedy recovery.
The Lions tackle Ulster on Friday evening at 20:35 at the Kingspan Stadium in Belfast in their last tour game.
