The Springbok winger, Rosko Specman, will be back in action for the Toyota Cheetahs on Saturday morning in their warm-up against Zimbabwe in Bloemfontein.

The coach, Hawies Fourie, has named two 15-man squads for the contact session and it will be played over four 20-minute chukkas.

The Sharks flanker, Thembelani Bholi and lock, Jeandré Labuschagne, are also at the Cheetahs as part of the loan agreement between the two unions. The pair will be in action, while the former Montpellier lock, Sergio Moreira, is on trial and will get game time.

Siya Masuku will also be playing at flyhalf for one of the squads. This comes as Brandon Thomson will be playing in this weekend’s Carling Champions Match against Kenya in Pretoria.

Masuku was contracted a flyhalf but has played all of his rugby at inside centre.

Fourie told OFM Sport that he will keep a close eye on the player.

“I would like to give him a run this weekend, so it worked out well that all three of our flyhalves will be playing.

“Brandon Thomson is going to play for the Carling Champions team, while Reinhardt Fortuin and Siya Masuku will play for us.

“It will be good game time and exposure for all of them.

“I would like to see how Siya can control the game and see if he makes good decisions or not under pressure.

“So, I would like to see him at flyhalf to be able to compare him to Brandon and Reinhardt.”

Griffon Colby will be the man with the whistle and he will be assisted by Philip Kotze and Jason Marrow.

Saturday’s warm-up for the Toyota Challenge Cup gets underway at 10:00.
