Moreira is at the Cheetahs on trial and in the game against the Sables he will get an opportunity to try and impress the coach, Hawies Fourie.

Moreira never played Craven Week at school, but joined the French Top14 straight out of school.

Fourie, who watched the wiry player at school, told OFM Sport that he is physical and can make an impact.

“I saw him at school for Noordheuwel and then he played for an invitational team at the World Schools Festival in Stellenbosch, where I also saw him.

“He is a tough guy and quite fast and very physical.

“We are giving him a run at lock. We don't have a lot of locks on our books, so it's an opportunity for him as well, and the same goes for Jeandré Labuschagne.”

Saturday’s hit-out session at the Toyota Stadium kicks off at 10:00.
