Willemse left the park early in Saturday’s 23-18 win over Wales in Cardiff with a concussion and he has been ruled out for this week.

At this stage it's unclear if he will be taking any further part in the End of Year tour.

The good news is that the winger Sbu Nkosi has sorted out his visa issues and has re-joined the team.

Springbok assistant coach, Deon Davids, confirmed that Willemse has a concussion.

“At this stage, Damian Willemse, who came off the field with a concussion, will need to go through the seven-day protocol so he might be in doubt for this weekend.

“Other than that, we are fine. Everybody is available and ready for training today.

“Sbu joined us yesterday, so he is a part of the squad and he is going to be training as from today.

“We will assess his situation and see where he is and then we will make a decision according to that.”

The coach, Jacques Nienaber, will be naming his team for the Test on Tuesday afternoon.

Saturday’s Test at Murrayfield kicks off at 15:00.
