Boks expect massive scrum battle─── MORGAN PIEK 09:38 Wed, 17 Nov 2021
The Springboks are expecting a fierce battle in the scrum on Saturday when they take on England in their last Test of the season.
The Boks named their strongest possible side for the showdown which is expecting to be a humdinger like the World Cup final two years ago.
As it stands, the world champions have arguably the finest scrum in the game at the moment, but the English are improving in the set-piece.
The Boks coach, Jacques Nienaber, feels that England will target the scrums this weekend.
“I know a lot of people are talking about South Africa's scrum and the bomb squad.
“My analysis that I've done on England in the last month of rugby, they had 21 scrums to exit and attack from.
“They got 14 penalties out of those 21 scrums.
“I think that there are a lot of similarities between us and them.”
Saturday’s Test at Twickenham kicks off at 17:15.
