The flyhalves, Siya Masuku and Reinhardt Fortuin, are both fit and training and will be available for selection for the big game.

In the Cheetahs' opening game of the Currie Cup, they were forced to field the centre, Chris Smit, as the backline marshall against the Griquas.

The Cheetahs' coach, Hawies Fourie, told OFM Sport that the second-row is a worry.

“At flyhalf, Siya Masuku has recovered and he is ready to get selected for the Bulls game. He has trained with us for the past week or so, as well as Reinhardt Fortuin.

“Both of them will be ready for selection.

“The biggest headache at the moment is at lock, but in the other positions we are looking good.”

Fortuin told OFM Sport that he is happy to be back and available for selection and welcomes the competition for the number 10 jersey.

“These past two months felt like ages, especially after missing the Toyota Challenge, but, being back on the field training with the boys has been great.

“With regards to the number 10 jersey, I think it will always be a battle between Siya, Brandon (Thomson), and myself and that’s probably just because of the competitive people we are.”

This game between the Bulls and Cheetahs at Loftus Versfeld kicks off next week Wednesday at 17:45.
