The Shimlas will go into the game against the five-time champions following their outstanding 56-16 win over UWC in Belville on Monday night.

The Maties will pose a totally different challenge to that of UWC and they did fire an early warning shot by beating the defending champions, Tuks, 19-9 in Pretoria on Monday night.

Shimlas coach, André Tredoux, told OFM Sport that they will look to exploit the home ground advantage.

“We are looking forward to playing against Maties. They are historically one of the top rugby universities in South Africa, and luckily, they will be coming to Bloemfontein.

“So will start working on the plan right away. We will definitely throw everything at them, to do well at Shimla Park.”

This game at Shimla Park kicks off at 19:00, while at the same time Wits will host the Ixias in Johannesburg and the NWU Eagles will tackle UWC in Potchefstroom.
