Mohoje raring to go against the Griffons─── MORGAN PIEK 07:39 Fri, 11 Mar 2022
The Springbok flanker, Oupa Mohoje, is raring to go on Friday morning when the Toyota Cheetahs tackle the Griffons in a contact session in Bloemfontein.
The player who has captained the Cheetahs on several occasions has enjoyed limited game time over the past few years after recovering from a serious knee injury 18 minutes into a PRO14 game against Munster in Limerick.
The new dad told OFM Sport that he looks forward to a physical battle.
“Me personally, I'm excited because I haven't played in a while.
“To play against the Griffons, like you said, they always come hard and they are always physical. I think it's because their players always want to prove themselves, which is right.
“It's always going to be a good and healthy competition.
“I'm pretty much excited and I literally can't wait to get back on the park.”
On becoming a dad for the first time, Mohoje added that he couldn’t be more blessed.
“It's an absolute privilege. God has given a responsibility and this one is the biggest present ever.
“I'm really grateful. He is growing well and he is a big boy now. I really can't wait to see how he grows up and what he becomes.”
The Cheetahs and Griffons lock horns from 9:30 on Friday morning at the Toyota Stadium.
