The Central University of Technology Ixias will target a first win, but it doesn't get any harder than facing the five-time champions, Maties.

Across town the log-leaders, the University of the Free State Shimlas will be host the North West University Eagles in the traditional intervarsity.

The Shimlas will be desperate to set the record straight after they were beaten 53-31 a week prior by Wits in Johannesburg.

The Shimlas coach, André Tredoux, told OFM Sport that they are ready for face their traditional rivals.

“The team is very excited to play in this game against the NWU Eagles. They are out traditional rivals.

“Last week was obviously not a great performance and we've work hard to fix our mistakes and also just to be honest with each other about where we are going.

“That is the Varsity Cup for you. It's a tough competition and you have to be on top of your game every week in order to win. I'm sure the boys are ready for this evening.”

Both of these games kick-off at 19:00 and are not televised games.
