The only change upfront sees the flanker Dylan Richardson coming in for Thembelani Bholi.

In the backline, Jeremy Ward will start at inside centre while Marnus Potgieter will play on his outside. Lloyd Koster starts on the wing with Yaw Penxe moving to fullback.

Sharks Under-20 halfback playing of Bradley Davids and Jean Smith have been named on the bench for their Currie Cup debuts.

The Sharks coach, Etienne Fynn, emphasized the importance of the game.

“It's a very important game for us, said the former Springbok prop, Fynn.

“After starting with four wins on the trot and slipping against the Bulls and the Free State, both games we could have won. We were in both of those games to a point.

“Going to Kimberley and winning away will really kickstart the rest of our campaign.

“To call it a must-win game and to put that pressure on the players is always very difficult. But, the expectation is to come away with a positive result.”
