The Sharks are on course to book a home quarter-final in the URC, and in order for this they will need to end the team from Galway’s purple patch against South African teams.

Connacht beat both the Stormers and Bulls at the Sportsground, while last week at Ellis Park they held on for a 33-30 win against the Lions.

The Sharks captain, Thomas du Toit, said they are targeting more than just a top eight spot.

“We are not aiming for finishing in the top eight, we have our sights set on a home quarter-final,” said the Springbok prop.

“We are treating every game as if it is our last game and the only opportunity that we are going to get.

“The focus on the games is a massive thing for us and we are treating every game like a final.”

Saturday’s match between the Sharks and Connacht at Kings’ Park kicks off at 16:05.
