Masuku missed out on the Cheetahs 28-21 victory over Western Province in Cape Town and there was doubt about his availability this week.

Masuku and Andisa Ntsila were involved in a massive training ground collision on Friday, leaving the backline marshal with a black eye.

Masuku told OFM Sport that he is fit and ready to play.

“I've been quite unfortunate over the last couple of weeks with flu and now what happened last week Friday at training.

“I think that I’m actually feeling well and I'm ready to get going again.

“I actually can't wait because I haven't played in a long time.

“I can't wait to get back and play with the gents again.”

The last time the Cheetahs and Lions battled it out, it was the team from Bloemfontein that reigned supreme with a 66-14 victory at the Toyota Stadium.

Hawies Fourie will name his team on Thursday morning and Friday night’s game at Ellis Park kicks off at 19:00.
