The former Toyota Cheetahs and Junior Springbok hooker, Jacques du Toit, will once more grace the rugby fields in South Africa.

However, he will not be making a return to South Africa, but instead will be playing against the South African teams in the United Rugby Championship.

The 28-year-old Du Toit is currently playing for the English Premiership side, Bath, but will be leaving the club at the end of the season to join the Italian outfit, Zebre.

Du Toit told OFM Sport that moving to Parma will be special.

“It's been a pleasure to play in the English Premiership and I've wanted to test myself against these calibre players since I was a young player.

“So making to the move to the Premiership was really exciting and it was great. I think I did well and I really enjoyed my time at Bath.

“I'm excited to move to Italy. I think there is some excitement growing in rugby in Italy after win against Wales recently, so it's going to be nice to join up with Zebre.

“It's going to be special. We are expecting our second baby which is going to be born in Italy, so that is also going to be nice.”

During his career Du Toit played in close to 100 games for the Cheetahs and Free State. Du Toit also represented the Southern Kings in 12 matches in the PRO14 before rejoining the Cheetahs.

Du Toit played for the University of the Free State Cheetahs and was in winning side when they won the Varsity Cup title in 2015. In 2013 Du Toit played in five Tests four the Junior Springboks.
