Cheetahs want to regain their momentum─── MORGAN PIEK 14:08 Wed, 08 Jun 2022
The Toyota Cheetahs will look to return to winning ways when they tackle the Bulls in Bloemfontein on Saturday in the Currie Cup.
The second placed Cheetahs have suffered back-to-back defeats in the competition over the past fortnight following a nine-match unbeaten run.
Apart from wanting to secure a possible home final, the Cheetahs also want to regain their momentum heading into next week’s semi-finals.
For this the Cheetahs want to sharpen up on their defence which has worked all season, apart from in their last two games.
They will also look to regain their threat on the attack which has also be a little less lethal of late.
The Cheetahs winger, Dan Kasende, who scored at try against the Pumas last week told OFM Sport it’s important to focus on their own game.
“We are trying to get the momentum going and I am a 100% sure that whatever team the Bulls bring here, all of those players are going to be playing for the badge.
“We will give them the same type of respect that we would give to their 'A-side' players that are in Dublin for the URC semi-final.
“For us, we are just going to focus on ourselves. We are going to focus on getting in sync and getting things right before the semi-final.”
Saturday’s big Currie Cup game between the Cheetahs and Bulls at the Toyota Stadium kicks off at 17:45.
