Boks target an improved performance against Wales─── MORGAN PIEK 07:48 Tue, 05 Jul 2022
The Springboks will be targeting an improved performance on Saturday when they tackle Wales in Bloemfontein in the second Test.
Last week, the Boks could count themselves lucky for edging the Welsh 32-29 at Loftus Versfeld to take a one-nil lead in the three-Test series.
The Springboks have hinted at changes and one could be the return of Handré Pollard at flyhalf. Pieter-Steph du Toit is available for selection as well, while Evan Roos could be on debut.
The Springbok assistant coach Deon Davids said they have to improve, especially when it comes to executing their exit strategy.
“Overall, I think that Test rugby is all about playing in the right areas of the field and ensuring that you have a very good kicking game to get out of your half of the field.
“At times the quality of our execution was not to the standard where we would have loved it to be.
“That is definitely something that we want to work on.”
Saturday’s Test at the Toyota Stadium kicks off at 17:05.
