The Springbok flyhalf, Elton Jantjies, is ready for Saturday’s Rugby Championship Test against the Wallabies in Adelaide.

The pivot has been named on the bench this week for what is to be his first game for the Springboks since the first Test against Wales at Loftus Versfeld in July.

Jantjies is one of three backline players on the bench with the Boks opting for a five-three split among the replacements.

Jantjies said he is ready to take on the challenge of facing the Wallabies.

“Against Wales I had about 40 minutes and it was quite nice to be on the park after an injury.

“It's been about working hard over the past five weeks and just making sure I'm ready and stay ready. Having said that, I'm looking forward to the weekend.

“It's about the 15 starting initially and as a bench we need to have a certain impact too. It’s not about an individual. We had a certain moment where all of us were switched on. We were on the same page.

"It was just about an individual taking the opportunity created. In this group, what we do is for the team. It's not about individuals.

“Of course, you have your personal objectives as a player, but when you join the Boks it's about making sacrifices. We all have a plan and we prepare each other accordingly.”

Saturday’s Test between Australia and South Africa at the Adelaide Stadium kicks off at 07:30.
