Cheetahs to face the Sharks in Durban─── MORGAN PIEK 09:24 Mon, 14 Nov 2022
The Toyota Cheetahs will be heading down to Durban this week where they will come up against the Sharks in a warm-up match.
The Cheetahs will face the Sharks in a match with an eye on the upcoming European Challenge Cup, where they will face the Section Paloise of France as well as Scarlets of Wales in the initial stages of the competition. They will also be based in Parma in Italy where they will play their "home" games.
The Sharks themselves will head to Europe as well to play in the Champions Cup. The Sharks will be in action against Harlequins of England and the Bordeaux-Begles of France. The team from Durban will, however, play their home games at Kings Park.
The Cheetahs are also set to tackle the Griffons on 25 November in what will be their last warm-up match before heading overseas.
The Cheetahs will play in the Challenge Cup which will be their first major international competition since unceremoniously being dumped out of the then PRO14 back in 2022.
Friday afternoon's game at Kings' Park kicks off at 15:00.
