Mohoje was pinned for a dangerous tackle on the Section Paloise centre, Yvan Reilhac, during their 21-16 win in Pau on the weekend in the European Challenge Cup.

The tackle in question occurred in the 26th minute of the game and the player was cited by Citing Commissioner, Csaba Priskin, of the Czech Republic.

Should Mohoje be found guilty he could be suspended for up to six weeks.

The Cheetahs coach, Hawies Fourie, told OFM Sport that they Mohoje might to get a reduced sanction if her pleads guilty to the offence.

“We sent the video footage that we’ve got to the high profile referee and he has given me his opinion,” said Fourie.

“I've also sent to someone that does the hearings and represents the players. There is a bit of difference in opinion between the two. We will consult with them again and then decided how we are going to handle it.

“If you plead guilty, they might reduce the sentence and only give you a 50% sanction.”

The Cheetahs will tackle Scarlets on Saturday in Parma, with this match kicking off at 17:15.
