Jeandré Rudolph starts at eighth-man, while Oupa Mohoje earns a start at flank. Rynier Bernardo returns to start at lock, while in the frontrow, Marnus van der Merwe, will start at hooker.

The bench sees the centre David Brits and the loose-forward, Sibabalo Qoma, returning from injury.

The Cheetahs coach, Hawies Fourie, told OFM Sport that a third win in a row will be important.

“If you look at their team there is about three guys that have played for the Springboks and there is a lot of experience, in the backline especially.

“It's a quality team and it will be a tough game for us, but it's an important one. It's our first home game and we want to win it. Our aim will be to get a bonus point, but we will take the win as well.

 “To play for 80 minutes is a be focus for us. Last week after about 40 to 50 minutes we took out a lot of the leaders and we made a lot of mistakes. We conceded seven penalties in the second half and we just couldn't get going.

“It will be a different story on Friday and we won't just make changes for the sake of it. We want to start our home campaign on a high and there is no better team to do it against than the Bulls.”
