The Toyota Cheetahs are expected to make minimal changes to their team for Saturday's important Currie Cup game against the Lions in Bloemfontein.

The Cheetahs will opt for continuity for the game, but there will be change at flyhalf with Reinhardt Fortuin expected to don the number ten jersey, while Siya Masuku will be dropped due to a lack of form.

A new winger is also set to run-out on the left after Munier Hartzenberg injured his knee and went for an MRI scan.

The Cheetahs coach, Hawies Fourie, told OFM Sport that they will opt for continuity.

“We will go with a bit more continuity from now on,” said Fourie.

“The guys that will get a chance to play will either be for someone that is not performing or is injured, or someone that was in the starting line-up and is coming back from injury.

“That is the most likely changed that we will make. I'm not going to just rotate of give guys game time anymore.

“We said that we will do that up until the Griffons game and from here on out continuity will be important to us.”

On the flip side of the coin, the Lions will most likely make several changes to their team and the are expected to field more players that were regulars during their United Rugby Championship campaign.

Saturday's game at the Toyota Stadium kicks off at 13:00.
