The Western Force fullback, Harry Potter, was named as the Man of the Match, while on debut for the Perth-based team.
The Toyota Cheetahs drew first blood in the Toyota Challenge on Friday night (25/8) with a hard-fought 31-27 win over the Western Force in Bloemfontein.
The hooker, Marnus van der Merwe, scored twice against the Australian victors while Gideon van der Merwe and Marko Janse van Rensburg also crossed the whitewash.
The Force fullback, Harry Potter, was named as the Man of the Match, while on debut for the Perth-based team.
The Cheetahs coach, Hawies Fourie, told OFM Sport it was a rusty start by his team.
Next week Saturday the two sides will clash again.
