Human expects big scrum effort against Wallabies─── MORGAN PIEK 08:21 Tue, 06 Aug 2024
“I can tell you 100% that they have had 100% the last three games where had a great outcome. And in that outcome, they’re much a more stable scrum than they used to be in the past. But, so have we.”
The Springbok scrum coach, Daan Human, has warned that they have to bring their A-game in the two Rugby Championship Tests against the Wallabies in Australia.
The back-to-back World Champions have been in Australia since Thursday to acclimatise, and this will certainly help with their preparations.
While South Africa is the world champions they are under no illusions and are expecting tricky and tough Tests, especially in Brisbane.
While the Springboks scrum is one of their major strengths, Human, emphasised the importance of constantly evolving.

“Every team has got a lot of strength, and I suppose that is definitely one of our strengths,” said the former Free State coach who never minced his words.
“But yes, they always get a way to manage us and to handle us, and maybe sometimes they’re good. Sometimes they’re not so good, but I’m not going to refer to whether they’re good or not.
“I can tell you 100% that they have had 100% the last three games where had a great outcome. And in that outcome, they’re much a more stable scrum than they used to be in the past. But, so have we. We’re already working on a lot of new stuff that we actually want to implement as well.
“Little by little, we're getting there, and we’ll see on Saturday how it goes and if we're going forward or not.”
Saturday’s Test between the Wallabies and Springboks in Brisbane kicks off at 06:30.
