Reinach excited by X-factor Feinberg-Mngomezulu─── MORGAN PIEK 13:33 Wed, 07 Aug 2024
“He must just go out there be there and express himself and enjoy the moment. I think he is going to do well – I think that there is a lot of X-factor in him. He’s going to pull a few strings I think, and create a few opportunities.”
The experienced Springbok scrumhalf, Cobus Reinach, is excited and looks forward to forming the halfback combination with Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu against the Wallabies in the Rugby Championship.
Reinach made his Springbok debut against the Wallabies ten years ago, while Feinberg-Mngomezulu, will earn his first start on the weekend. While Reinach will play in his 34th Test and earn back-to-back starts after wearing the number nine jersey against Portugal in Bloemfontein.
Reinach said Feinberg-Mngomezulu certainly has the X-factor and expects the 22-year-old to excel in the big Test against the Wallabies.
“I haven’t played with him as a nine and ten yet, but the whole week he has shown that he’s got a rugby head on him,” said the speedy scrumhalf.
“He’s a young boy but he’s hugely talented and I’m really excited for him to go out there. He has got the backing of the 22 other players and the rest of the squad here. He must just go out there be there and express himself and enjoy the moment.
