Gordinho made his Phunya Sele Sele debut on Sunday during the side’s 2-1 win over Golden Arrows at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium.

The player, who joined from Kaizer Chiefs on a loan-deal, made an immediate impression and was lauded by both teams’ coaches, Veselin Jelušic and Clinton Larsen.

Gordinho told OFM Sport that there is actually not much difference between Phunya Sele Sele and the Amakhosi.

“I don’t think you can see that there is a difference.

“It’s a big club as well and here in Bloem everyone supports it, Celtic has a good fan base.

“The only difference is that Chiefs are in Joburg and I am down here in Bloemfontein with Celtic.

“I just think that is football that is part of football and we are all competing for one thing, and that is to stay in the PSL and stay in competitions.”

Gordinho added that he loved his first outing for this new side and wants to make the Siwelele faithful proud.

“Oh, it was great. It was a great and incredible feeling that I just cannot describe.

“I want to play and work hard for them and add as much value as I can to the team.”

Celtic next face Maritzburg United on Friday evening at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg.
