The weekends’ Premier Soccer League action kicks off on Friday evening when Clinton Larsen guides his Chippa United against this former club, Golden Arrows.

This game at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium kicks off at 20:00.

The biggest game on Saturday will be the battle at the top of the table when the leaders, Wits, entertain the second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns. Kick-off in Johannesburg will be at 18:00.

On Sunday it’s the big one when Bloemfontein Celtic host Free State Stars in the Free State derby.

The Celtic interim coach, Lehlonolo Seema, tells OFM Sport that past form goes out the window for this fixture.

“We are expecting fireworks on Sunday,” said the legendary former club captain.

“The team higher in the standings do have a bit of an advantage, but this is that one game where the team that wants the win the most will get it.

“We are expecting them to be a team coming and firing on all cylinders. They will want to move away from their current position on the log, and they know that there is just one team below them at the moment.

“We need no motivation for this game. We have a clean bill of health, and that is a nice headache for in choosing the squad that will represent the Siwelele family this weekend, but we are feeling positive.”

The derby at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium kicks off at 15:30.
