Downs on the brink for fourth straight PSL title─── MORGAN PIEK 16:14 Wed, 26 May 2021
The defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, will be targeting a fourth straight Premier Soccer League title on Tuesday when they face SuperSport United in the Tshwane derby.
A win for the Brazilians against their City rivals will see them before the first team ever to win the PSL for four years in a row.
SuperSport in their turn will be targeting the fourth place in the standings.
The Downs co-coach, Manqoba Mngqithi, said that his team wants to seal the deal as soon as possible.
“You could even see at training, the session and intensity were good, everyone is looking forward to giving this match a fight.
“We know Sundowns doesn't want to not win two games in a row, so we have a responsibility to try to come back as quickly as possible.”
Wednesday night's game at Loftus Versfeld gets underway at 17:00.
