Arrows advanced to the last four in the first cup competition of the season by beating SuperSport United in the quarter-finals. It’s the very same team that beat them 3-1 on Wednesday in the league.

Lehlohonolo Seema, the coach of Arrows, told OFM Sport that they have put Wednesday defeat in Pretoria behind them and focus on the first leg of the semi-finals before even thinking about the final.

“We are excited to be in the semi-finals. We did not get here through anything else but by the hard work of eliminating our first opponent. There is another big one ahead of us on Saturday.

“Yesterday the mood was a little bit down and understandably so.

“Whatever happens on Saturday, with this month in between, it gives both sides more chance to play matches and build confidence.

“By the time the second leg comes around, we would have had many more matches under our belt, and that is the same for both sides.

“When you have two legs, sometimes both teams use the first one just to check each other out, but I think this time both teams will go for it.

“It is so far off now that you can’t really even think about the second leg. We will talk about it in that week when it is played.”

Tomorrow’s first semi-final of the weekend that will be played at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium kicks off at 15:00.
