Broos set to the ring the changes for France friendly─── MORGAN PIEK 16:12 Mon, 28 Mar 2022
The coach of the national football team, Hugo Broos, is set to make changes to his Bafana Bafana side for Tuesday nights’ international friendly against France in Lille.
On Friday Bafana played to a goalless stalemate against Guinea despite dominating the match in all aspects.
While the two matches are friendly Broos wants to give all the players on tour some time on the park.
Broos said that before the short tour to Europe started it was decided that all of the players would enjoy some time on the park.
“For France, there will be a different team. It may not be 11 different players, but it will be a different team.
“As I pointed out before this tour, I will give all players some minutes and we started that already against Guinea on Friday.
“The players are more comfortable than when playing qualifiers. We have to learn that where there are qualifiers, there is pressure. We must also learn that we must perform then.
“It is normal if you play a qualifier or a friendly game like now, it's always different. Players don't feel the pressure.
“It is normal, and that’s why in the pre-match meeting of the Guinea game, I told them, ‘It’s a friendly game, but I don’t want us to see it as a friendly’. The approach is different.”
Tuesday night's game between South Africa and the world champions at Stade Pierre-Mauroy kicks off at 21:15.
