On Saturday, South Africa put up one of their best displays in quite some time with a resounding 4-0 win over Sierra Leone in their first international friendly.

The win broke a three-match winless run and Bafana will now want to use this opportunity to build some momentum ahead of next year's home and away Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Liberia.

The Bafana vice-captain Siyanda Xulu said it's important to be consistent in their performances.

“It was great for ourselves and we raised the bar, said the centre-back.

“Now we have to make sure that we keep on focussing on improving the team.

“The group as players are very much prepared to take whatever the coach Hugo Broos tries to make us improve on.

“Botswana is going to be another tough one. Hopefully we keep the objectives clear, which was to make sure that we bring back that winning mentality.”

Kick-off for Tuesday evening's game at Soccer City has been moved to 18:00.
