Bale, who has played in over 100 internationals for the Dragons, will make his debut at the World Cup at the tender age of 33, while it will also be just his country's second appearance at the global showpiece.

The last time Wales played in a World Cup was in 1958 in Sweden, when they reached the quarterfinals.

"I'm fully fit and ready to go. If I need to play three 90-minute games, I'll play three 90s," said the former Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur player.

"It's been difficult, mentally more than anything. I guess the last three or four weeks have been difficult for everyone, even hearing stories of players going down and knowing they'll miss the World Cup.

"Speaking to a few of the boys, even for them having to play this weekend was tough mentally, and we're just praying not to have an injury at all because it's such a big occasion."

Wales is in Group B for the World Cup along with England, Iran, and the USA.

The Welsh will get their campaign underway on Monday when they face the USA.
