The South African referee, Victor Gomes, has received another top-class appointment at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Gomes has been allocated the massive quarter-final between the Netherlands and Argentina at the Lusail Stadium on Friday night.
Gomes has had the whistle in two games thus far at the World Cup and this included the game in which Japan stunned Spain with a 2-1 victory.
The other match the 39-year-old Gomes took charge of at the World Cup was the match between the title holder, France and Australia.
On Friday afternoon at 17:00, Croatia will face the five-time champions, Brazil, at the Education City Stadium in the first quarter-final.
The Dutch and Argentines will lock-horns at 21:00.
