The quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations will get underway in Ivory Coast on Friday night with two games lined up.

At 19:00, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be up against Angola. The winner of this match could potentially face South Africa in the semi-finals.

At 22:00, the Democratic Republic of Congo will take on Guinea.

On Saturday night at 19:00, Mali will face the hosts Ivory Coast.

Then it's the big one with Bafana Bafana going head-to-head with Cape Verde.

The Bafana coach, Hugo Broos, said it’s important for his team to improve with each and every game.

“I think I said maybe in the beginning of AFCON that it’s very important that you grow in the tournament,” said Broos.

“We played against Mali, and we lost, but then, we were much better against Namibia and had a difficult game against Tunisia, and against Morocco, so we become, every day, better and better. This is very important.”

This game will kick-off at 22:00 on Saturday night.
