Bafana confirms #Covid19 cases─── MORGAN PIEK 09:06 Tue, 08 Jun 2021
The Bafana Bafana team doctor, Thulani Ngwenya, has confirmed that three Bafana Bafana players are in isolation and will miss Thursday’s international friendly against Uganda.
Percy Tau and Teboho Mokoena tested positive for Covid-19, while Sipho Mbule was in contact with his SuperSport United teammate, Mokoena.
Furthermore, the Mamelodi Sundowns trio of Mothobi Mvala, Rivaldo Coetzee, and Mosa Lebusa are all unavailable through injury.
Ngwenya says it is a blow but it’s by no means panic stations.
“The two players, Percy Tau and Teboho Mokoena, are currently in quarantine because they have tested positive for Covid-19.
“Sipho Mbule is also in isolation, since he was in close contact with Teboho Mokoena.
“We have a few small niggles and sport injuries, but those are not a major concern and we will be able to deal with them.”
Bafana and the Cranes lock horns on Thursday at the Orlando Stadium.
