Kevin Anderson will have it all to play for when he faces American John Isner in Friday's Wimbledon semi-final’s after upsetting the tennis world when he gave defending champion Rodger Federer his marching orders in the quarter-final on Wednesday.

Anderson stunned the world when he took the Swiss world number 2 all the way in a 5-set thriller that ended in joy for the South African when he beat Federer 2-6, 6-7, 7-5, 6-4 and 13-11 to book his spot in the semi-final.

Anderson has faced Isner on 11 previous occasions with the American getting the better of the 32-year-old South African 8 times.

This time around Anderson believes improvements he made over the last year has delivered results and that he hopes it continues to do so.

"I'm very motivated to keep improving and its very rewarding seeing those improvements take place week in and week out, especially over the last 52 weeks."

"My team believes in me a lot, my family believes in me a lot and I think I started believing in myself a lot more," Anderson said.

The 2,3m tall big server will take on the American Isner at 14:00 on Friday.
