Harris breaks into ATP top 50─── MORGAN PIEK 15:41 Tue, 06 Apr 2021
South Africa’s leading men’s singles player, Lloyd Harris, has broken into the top-50 of the ATP rankings for the first time in his career.
This despite being forced to withdraw during the second round of the Miami Open in Florida due to a wrist injury.
The 24-year-old Harris is hoping to be back in action as of 19 April for the Barcelona Open in Spain.
Meanwhile, South Africa’s number two-ranked player, Kevin Anderson, has dropped to 108th after conceding 17 places in the rankings.
A string of injuries saw the former Wimbledon and US Open finalist plummet down the rankings at hovering around the top ten during his peak.
