Harris made another big statement by beating world number 16 and 8th seed for the tournament, Gael Monfils, of France.

Harris needed an hour and eight minutes to beat Monfils 6-4, 6-4.

Harris says he needed his A game today.

“I think I played a really good match as was solid from the beginning to the end.

“I know that Gael is a really tough opponent, so I knew that it would require my A game.

“I learnt a lot last week and through some training on the grass I feel a lot more ready this week and I think it paid off.”

Harris will face Slovakia's Lukáš Lacko in the round of 16.
