The 2022 Australian Open will opens its door to a full capacity of spectators.
The year's first Grand Slam that gets played in Melbourne was hard hit this year when only a limited number of tennis enthusiasts were allowed to attend.
The hard-court tournament also had to endure a five-day spell of no spectators due to positive Covid-19 cases in the players bio-bubble.
This morning, authorities in Victoria announced that they will permit full stadiums because of the state hitting a 90% vaccination rate.
In addition, the Boxing Day Test between Australia and India will also welcome back a crowd to the 90 000 seater Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)
The Australian Open will start on 17 January.
