The daughter of the Springboks and Cheetahs great, Ollie le Roux, caused a major upset at the international Cepha Tennis Junior ITF series tournament being played in Bloemfontein.
The 14-year-old Donna le Roux, advanced to the semi-finals after beating the top-seeded Tayla Wilmott in the semi-finals.
Le Roux came back from a set down to beat Wilmott 3-6, 6-4 and 7-5 in the quarter-finals.
Le Roux told OFM Sport that she won’t change anything to her approach.
“The quarter-final was really tough, but to beat Tayla was a great privilege. Beating her also told me that I can play at that level.
“I'm just going to go into the semi-final with the same mindset. I'm just going to enjoy the semi-final and play my heart out.
“Then we will see what happens.”
Le Roux will face Arili Boshoff in the last four. The other semi-final will be played between Nadia Gouws and Celine Joseph.
In the singles for boys, the top-ranked Rohan Loubser, also got his marching orders after losing 7-6, 4-6 and 6-2 to Ernst Gouws.
Gouws will be up against Benedict Badza of Zimbabwe in the semi-finals.
The other boy’s semi-final will be played between the fourth-ranked Yarona Morule and the seventh-seeded Guy Vorwerk.
