Last night, Harris needed the three-sets to beat Yoshihito Nishioka for a third straight win at the ATP event in the Sunshine State.

The 25-year-old South African, who hasn’t advanced past the second round of any tournament all year up until now, was made to work hard for the win and spent 2 hours and 45 minutes on court.

Harris served 19 aces in beating Nishioka 7-6, 4-6 and 7-5.

This evening, Harris will be up against Poland's Hubert Hurkacz for a spot in the quarter-finals. Hurkacz in his turn beat independent player, Aslan Karatsev, 7-5, 4-6 and 6-3.

Hurkacz is the defending champion in the magic city and the pair will be on court no earlier than 21:00 on Tuesday night.
