The world number one Djokovic hardly broke a sweat in beating Diego Schwartzman of Argentina 6-1, 6-3 and 6-1.

For the King of Clay and 13-time champion, Nadal, it was different story as he was made to dig deep for a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, 3-6 and 6-3 win over the 9th seeded Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada.

Nadal said his just trying to enjoy every moment at the slam.

“I can't complain much. I am in quarter-finals of Roland Garros. Two and a half weeks ago, even if I had positive hopes after Rome, I even don't know if I would be able to be here,” admitted Nadal on Sunday.

“So just enjoying the fact that I am here for one more year. And being honest, every match that I play here, I don't know if it’s going to be my last match here in Roland Garros in my tennis career, no? “That's my situation now.”

Meanwhile the teenage sensation Carlos Alcaraz is into the quarter-finals of dispatching Karen Khachanov with a 6-1, 6-4 and 6-4 win.
