A month ago, the Division 2 Free State outfit made their debut in the TNL during the first block of matches in Polokwane.

While they showed glimpses of their potential, they weren't able to break the ice with a victory.

On Friday the Sonoblomo will play the Tornadoes, and on Saturday will be up against the Limpopo Lilies.

The Lilies game will most likely be the one the Sonoblomo will target for a first win as they are also a new team, and they too are yet to record a first victory.

The captain of the Sonoblomo Bianca Pienaar told OFM Sport that they are much better prepared for this week.

“We haven't secured our first win yet, but like I always say you learn more by losing than winning,” said Pienaar.

“Hopefully we're done learning for now and we are ready for our first win. We did really a lot during the first leg in Polokwane.

“We went back to Bloemfontein and used this month to focus on the basics and getting our wing-attack combinations. That is an area where we really struggled in those first games.

“As a team we are also much better prepared as the ladies know that to expect now in the TNL. I'm very excited, the ladies are ready and hopefully this weekend we get our first win.”

Friday's game at the Heartfelt Arena gets underway at 13:00.
