Don your tutus and tekkies for a good cause!

Don your tutus and tekkies for a good cause! Venue: Be Human Middelwater Farm

6 November 2021

07:00 – 15:00

This year CANSA celebrates 90 years of leading the fight against cancer in South Africa!

As part of the celebrations, CANSA Bloemfontein, along with OFM and Bloemfontein Courant, will host “Tutus and Tekkies” on Saturday, 6 November, at Be Human Middelwater Farm

This fun run/walk at Be Human Middelwater Farm will raise funds for CANSA’s care and support services. The event also aims to create awareness of cancer and encourage you to live a balanced and active lifestyle in order to lower your personal cancer risk – while at the same time having fun!

You can enter individually or as part of a team (made up of a minimum of four and a maximum of eight members). The route, which is approximately seven kilometres long, offers you or your team the choice to run or walk at your own pace, while teams can do the obstacle course along the route. The obstacle course is symbolic of the daily obstacles faced by cancer patients and how CANSA is there to assist in overcoming these obstacles through their care and support programmes offered to cancer patients and their loved ones.

CANSA Bloemfontein invites you, your family and friends, and corporate teams to come and have fun and celebrate life in honour of CANSA’s 90th Anniversary!

Strict Covid-19 protocols will be followed at the event. The entry fee is R150 per person. Entries allowed on the day. The event will take place from 07:00 to 15:00 – with registration closing at 11:00.

For more information, please contact Jeanne Rawlinson, Sustainability Coordinator at CANSA Bloemfontein, at jrawlinson@cansa.org.za or 051 444 2580.
