
The Absa Wildeklawer Sports Tournament is the biggest school sports tournament in Africa and one of the top school tournaments in the country.
This year’s event takes place from 28 April to 1 May 2023 at Diamantveld High School, Kimberley Boys High and Sol Plaatje University in Kimberley.
The tournament provides opportunities for high school learners to compete in rugby, netball, and soccer, and accommodates 166 teams from across the country.

This annual event has become a platform for grassroots sports development, providing an opportunity for young athletes to showcase their skills and learn from experienced coaches, role models, and players.

The Absa Wildeklawer Tournament brings a positive socio-economic impact in Kimberley.
The economic injection into Kimberley and surrounding towns in 2019 was in excess of R65,000 000. The rights owners believe that the economic injection will be well over R120,000 000 this year.
