South Africa's agricultural sector is one of the world's most diverse with commercial farming forming the backbone of the country's agricultural economy.
Central South Africa (Free State, Northern Cape, North West, southern Gauteng) is not only geographically at the heart of this sector but also considered the breadbasket of the country.
Agriculture is also considered the lifeblood of many communities in these areas and therefor also at the heart of OFM.
From 7 to 11 September 2020, OFM not only celebrates the long-anticipated start of Spring, we showcase one of the industries, which has endured in the face of tremendous hardships during the Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring South Africa’s food security.
As we usher in new life with a new season and renewed hope, let us honour the hard work, sacrifice, perseverance and innovation of this crucial sector of our economy.
Tune in 7 - 11 September 2020 for OFM Agri Focus Week to hear the latest developments in the agricultural industry, where we are at and where we are heading.
