The new voice of afternoon sport, Aaron Masemola, was born on 10 January 1996 and raised in Pretoria North. After high school he went on to study at the University of Pretoria, and is currently completing his studies (BSc Mathematical Statistics) with Unisa.
Aaron’s radio journey started at Tuks FM when he joined the advisory board in February 2018. In May he joined the marketing and made the switch to becoming a presenter in September. He joined the What's the Vibe News Show as an economics content producer and presenter and also the What's the Vibe Sports Show as a Sports Presenter on Thursdays at 13:00. Furthermore, he produced and presented the Sports Recap show on Sundays at 20:00 and joined the Tuks FM news department as a sports news reader.
Aaron’s favourite thing about radio is that it gives you the incredible ability to connect with your listener in a way that is truly authentic. And, it is this authenticity that also shines through when listening to Aaron.
In his down time he loves spending time with his family attending live sports events and also reading as well as DJ-ing. He is also passionate about teaching others, especial young students, about leadership skills and the skill of public speaking.
His favourite quote is from Dr Martin Luther King Jr: “If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as a Michael Angelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, 'Here lived a great street sweeper, who did his job well”.
