Residents of Maokeng in Kroonstad are still reeling after devastatingly strong winds damaged at least 200 houses and left two people, including a child, injured on Saturday night.
Power lines, fences and vehicles were also wrecked.
The MEC for Human Settlements, Oupa Khoabane, tells OFM News that several government departments in the Free State are on the scene in a bid to help residents of the Moqhaka Local Municipality deal with the ordeal .
He says government is working around the clock to address residents' needs.
